Leadership additions build on the Foundation’s long-standing commitment to pharmacy education and community health

At the 2026 National Association of Chain Drug Stores (NACDS) Annual Meeting, the NACDS Foundation announced leadership updates, including the addition of two new members to the NACDS Foundation Board of Directors and the election of Christie Boutte, PharmD, RPh, IOM, as NACDS Foundation President.
NACDS welcomed Bill Shinton, PharmD, of Kroger, and John Marraffa, Jr., RPh, of Kinney Drugs, to the NACDS Foundation Board of Directors. Each Director will serve a one-year term.
Boutte, who previously served as Interim President, will oversee all NACDS Foundation operations and guide the Foundation’s strategic vision.
“The NACDS Foundation has advanced community health through pharmacy education, research, and engagement for 31 years,” said NACDS Foundation President Christie Boutte. “I am honored to step into this role at such a pivotal time and to welcome Bill Shinton and John Marraffa to a Board that brings invaluable leadership and perspective as we build toward the future of community health.”
Shinton and Marraffa join NACDS Foundation Chairman of the Board Steven C. Anderson, FASAE, CAE, IOM, in addition to the following veteran NACDS Foundation Board of Directors who were re-elected to serve a one-year term:
