The National Association of Chain Drug Stores (NACDS) Foundation proudly announces that the illustrious Geena Davis, two-time Academy Award winner, will headline the 27th Annual NACDS Foundation Dinner. This eagerly anticipated event is set to take place on Saturday, August 23, 2025, at the Marriott Marquis Marina in San Diego, coinciding with the 2025 NACDS Total Store Expo.
Geena Davis, a revered icon in Hollywood, has left an indelible mark with her acclaimed performances in The Accidental Tourist, Thelma & Louise, and A League of Their Own. Beyond the silver screen, Davis is celebrated as a world-class archer, Mensa member, and fervent advocate for gender equality.
“The NACDS Foundation is thrilled to convene benefactors, partners, and collaborators for an evening dedicated to our collective commitment to community health,” said NACDS Foundation President Sara Roszak. “We are honored to have Geena Davis as our keynote speaker, whose extraordinary achievements and advocacy for gender equality resonate with our mission to foster healthier communities.”
As the Founder and Chair of the Geena Davis Institute on Gender in Media, Davis champions increased female representation and challenges gender stereotypes in children’s media. Her memoir, Dying of Politeness, delves into her diverse career and advocacy journey.
The NACDS Foundation Dinner offers a platform to support the Foundation’s groundbreaking work, which includes research, educational programs, and initiatives aimed at enhancing health outcomes and promoting equity. The NACDS Foundation Scholarship Program further supports innovation in pharmacy education.
“Our supporters’ generosity empowers the Foundation to advance crucial research and programmatic efforts that significantly impact communities nationwide,” Roszak said.
