Program Overview
Participants bring their research topic from concept to manuscript through a starter grant provided by the NACDS Foundation. Scholars receive individualized mentoring from experienced researchers, enhanced educational opportunities with thought leaders, and opportunities to attend national conferences and other educational programs.
Faculty Scholars (cohort of 2024-2025) showcased their research projects at the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP) Annual Meeting.
Program activities will include:
- Conference calls and small working groups with mentors and fellow Faculty Scholars
- Online lecture series from community-based research leaders
- Attendance at pharmacy and trade show conferences
- Networking opportunities with researchers and pharmacy leaders
- Dissemination of research opportunities

Deadline:
The Foundation has extended the deadline through November 21, 2025 (11:59 p.m. ET).
Eligibility:
- Be an associate or assistant professor at an accredited U.S. school or college of pharmacy
- Have the ability to implement a patient care research project at a community pharmacy practice site
Application Requirements:
- Recommendation from applicant’s on-site mentor
- Applicant statement of research interest
- Potential community pharmacies where research could be conducted
- Applicant CV
- Suggested: Nomination from U.S. school/college of pharmacy Dean or department Chair
