Supporting Innovation & Diversity in Pharmacy Education
Since 1997, the NACDS Foundation Scholarship Program has provided nearly $5 million in funding for educational initiatives, thanks to the generous support of the program’s benefactors.
Scholarship Awards provided by the NACDS Foundation have two tracks:
- Innovating patient care and pharmacy practice
- Promoting diversity by fostering support and education in under-represented populations
Awards are designed to support educational programs that:
- Meaningfully improve community health outcomes, health equity and patient care through innovation;
- Elevate and innovate pharmacy school curricula to reflect contemporary clinical practice; and/or
- Foster and support education in under-represented populations
Examples of previous scholarship award topics include:
- Point-of-care testing and health screenings
- Telehealth, Digital Health
- Health & wellness
- Nutrition and diet-related diseases
- Behavioral health initiatives
- Infectious disease, antimicrobial stewardship, and/or vaccines
- Collaborative patient care in coordination with the broader healthcare team
- Value-based care
- Long-acting injectable administration
Past scholarship awardees have a strong faculty lead and entail significant student engagement that is education and/or community based.
